Teaching


In the Summer Semester 2024 I will teach a course on the Physics of the Quantum Vacuum (2hrs lecture plus 2hrs exercise per week) tailored to master students. Jan. 2019 - present: Principal Investigator in the DFG Research Unit 2783 Probing the Quantum Vacuum at the High-Intensity Frontier (www.quantumvacuum.org).
Jan. 2018 - present: Expert Group Leader Strong-Field QED at the Helmholtz Institute (HI) Jena, also affiliated with the Institute of Theoretical Physics (TPI) of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (research group of Prof. Holger Gies).
Aug. 2010 - Dec. 2017: Postdoctoral Researcher at the HI Jena, also affiliated with the TPI of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (research group of Prof. Holger Gies).
Oct. 2009 - Jul. 2010: Postdoctoral Researcher in the research group of Prof. Nora Brambilla at the Technical University of Munich, partially funded by the Excellence Cluster Origin and Structure of the Universe and by a research scholarship of the FAZIT-Stiftung, Frankfurt am Main.
Aug. 2006 - Jul. 2009: PhD student at the Institute for Theoretical Physics III of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU); advisor: Prof. Michael Thies. PhD thesis: Integrating out the Dirac sea.
