The numerical solution of Einstein's field equation is one of the most
important tools for understanding the physics of strong, dynamical
gravitational fields. The numerical results obtained during the last
decade for phenomena such as mergers of binary black holes and neutron
stars have led to a significant improvement of our understanding of
strong field gravity. The aim of the workshop is not only to give
researchers in relativity the opportunity to discuss current issues of
numerical relativity, but also to benefit from a variety of other
topics in mathematical and numerical modeling in the framework of the
IC-MSQUARE conference.
