Welcome to the webpage of the Relativity Group at the FSU Jena
Gravitation is the most universal of the four fundamental forces and dominates the structure of cosmic objects. It is described by Einstein's theory of General Relativity, and due to the rapid development of measuring and observing methods, it is one of the highlights of modern experimental and theoretical research.
The group in gravitational theory and general relativity at the FSU Jena consists of three research groups, which together offer a unique opportunity in Germany for a fully comprehensive education in this field.
An important focus of the research at Jena is the collaborative research center SFB/TR7 on Gravitational Wave Astronomy, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Travel information about our institute and contact addresses can be found at the webpage of the Theoretical Institute.
